Many questions to the functionality of this timer board?  I can explain more below.

1. Can timer automatic start after power on ?    Yes, it can, just put the jumper ( one wire and soldering )

2. What is turn on mode ?   Once you power on, the relay on board is still open contact status, after timer out the relay on board is closed.

3. What is turn off mode?    Once you power on, the relay on board is close contact immediately, after time out the relay will be opened. 

Relay is close -> Relay Switch On

Relay is open -> Relay Switch off
